Inventory Coordinator
Salary Range: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
Location: Burns Lake, BC
The Inventory Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining stock inventory levels and organizing equipment wear components. Utilizing their experience and expertise in the field, the inventory specialist will also assist with procurement duties to support ongoing maintenance requirements and enhance maintenance reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for maintaining current inventory levels through the use of purchase orders and inventory management systems.
- Operates various equipment and tools related to maintenance and organization, including hand tools and site equipment such as skid steers and telehandlers.
- Communicates professionally with company vendors, adhering to Drax’s core values.
- Assists the maintenance department in planning projects, organizing equipment, and managing downtime in relation to inventory needs.
- Utilizes MS Office and CMMS programs to efficiently track and maintain accurate inventory under the direction of the Maintenance Superintendent, in partnership with the planning and reliability teams.
- Ensures accurate record-keeping for budget and warranty purposes.
- Assists with data entry related to the maintenance system.
- Performs other duties as assigned to support maintenance and pellet operations.
About you
You'll possess the following skills, abilities, and experience:
- 1 to 3 years of experience in industrial settings, supply chain, or parts counter operations.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to changes in work schedules and tasks.
- Strong understanding of maintenance inventory processes and effective business systems thinking.
- Capable of prioritizing and managing multiple tasks and deliverables simultaneously.
- Focused on strong stakeholder and internal customer service management.
- Proficient in using computers, Microsoft Office, and various business applications.
