This position will manage and implement organizational inventory policies and procedures regarding security, accountability and cost effectiveness through transaction documentation, and process and procedure verification to Finance Policies. This position will supervise a team, manage and continue to develop a plant wide cycle count program in addition to resolving Accounts Payable exceptions.

Responsibilities

  • Perform ABC analysis on manufacturing inventories according to Financial Policies.
  • Set cycle count schedule and tolerances to meet or exceed minimum standards for count frequency and accuracy in adherence with Financial Policies.
  • Compare physical counts against inventory records and reconcile by comparing to system transactions. Initiate and process corrections to inventory records in compliance with Financial Policies.
  • Collect data to determine root causes of transaction errors. Work with appropriate plant personnel to implement corrective action to eliminate causes of errors.
  • Interact and adhere to internal and external financial auditor requirements.
  • Measure and report in adherence to Financial Policies on data such as value of inventory cycle counted, value of cycle count adjustments, record accuracy, inventory valuation accuracy, root causes of errors and progress of corrective actions.
  • Supervise and direct employees in the cycle count program, including safety, selection, training, performance reviews, and discipline.
  • Maintain positive employee and management relations within the guidelines of company policy.
  • Investigate and resolve transactional issues affecting accounts payables, including correcting those errors (trigger or reverse receipts, parts received under incorrect/different packing slip, etc).
  • Oversee resolution of under/overstated and negative inventory, monitor transactions of write in and write outs, manage obsolescence process and support minimal inventory initiatives. Perform transactions such as reconfigurations, BOM/routing/costing corrections, and reconciliation on floor stock.
Qualifications

The qualified candidate will have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business or Inventory Management. Five years of related experience may be viewed as being equivalent.
The ideal Candidate will have:

  • Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of programs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Previous experience with company products and sources of supply.
  • Previous experience in MRP/ERP systems, production control activities, production, and inventory management processes.
  • Demonstrated competency in inventory and production tracking systems, including SQL and SAP.
