The Inventory Control Supervisor position is located in Meaford at the 4th Canadian Division Training Centre and typically reports directly to the Supply Manager. Their primary focus is overseeing all activities related to Inventory Control, including Clothing and Tailoring. Responsibilities include coordinating departmental functions such as planning, leadership, and acting as a liaison with other departments and clients.

Primary and Essential Accountabilities:
Supervision:
- Oversee the activities of Inventory Control, Stocktaking, SLOCs, and Receipt teams, ensuring timely service delivery.
- Conduct physical inventory checks, verify accounts, update records, investigate discrepancies, and report findings in line with current procedures.
- Assign projects, monitor progress, address disciplinary issues, and evaluate staff performance.
- Track item statuses in databases, including SLOC items, and report according to procedure.
- Ensure the completion of write-off reports (CF152) for all SLOC and stocktaking adjustments.
- Verify inventory locations and update changes in CMM and DRMIS systems.
- Ensure compliance with DRMIS procedures and proper supply discipline.
Leadership:
- Assist in staff selection, placement, and training to promote cross-functional skills.
- Address performance issues and recommend corrective actions as needed.
- Coordinate activities with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Promote continuous improvement within the department and monitor performance.
Health and Safety:
- Ensure all staff and visitors adhere to health and safety policies and procedures.
- Provide ongoing health and safety education and awareness.
- Maintain responsibility for the department’s Health and Safety program, ensuring safe practices and accountability to supervisors.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Complete assigned projects within deadlines as directed by the Supply Manager.
- Maintain high standards of customer service and a safe working environment.
- Comply with Department of National Defense (DND) and Canadian Base Operators (CBO) policies and procedures.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Ontario Secondary School Graduation Diploma considered an asset.
- Valid G license.
SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Proficient knowledge and understanding of:
- Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Teams.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and with minimal direction.
- *Must be able to achieve and maintain a Government of Canada Security Clearance.*
