Job description

Requirements
Education or experience in Natural Sciences (e.g., biology, ecology), a positive attitude, and knowledge of native/invasive species. Fieldwork experience in varied conditions and physical tasks (e.g., weed pulling, hiking, using tools) is essential. Skills in navigation, GPS, and tablets are required, along with flexibility to work weekends or evenings. Candidates must have OFA Level 1 First Aid, a BC driver’s license, and access to a personal vehicle. A criminal record check and home office setup (computer/phone) are needed. Strong teamwork, self-motivation, and communication skills.

Duties
Fieldwork includes invasive species surveys, treatments, inventories, research, monitoring, and restoration. Duties also include assisting coordinators, data entry, media updates, and adhering to EKISC policies, including safety practices. Responsibilities involve time management, truck use coordination, and supporting EKISC operations as a non-profit. Additional tasks may be assigned as needed.
