Job Duties/Qualifications, Skills and Abilities(QSA)

Job Duties

Reporting to the Manager of International Education, coordinates the day-to-day international student recruitment and enrolment operations of the International Education department.

Specifically, this position will; liaise with the Registrar’s Office, Foreign Credential Assessment Unit (FCAU) on student applications and letters of acceptance, academic divisions, Finance, potential Sask Polytech international students related to application and admission requirements.

In this position you will actively be involved in strategic enrolment management activities including:

  • Creating and analyzing application and enrolment reports.
  • Collaborating with the International Education team members to develop and implement strategies to manage and maximize international student enrolment.

as well as,

Provide ongoing support to potential Saskatchewan Polytechnic international students related to application and admission requirements including:

  • Implement Sask Polytech’s international student recruitment strategy through developing and delivering recruitment presentations at events in-person and virtually.
  • Liaising with new and current international recruitment agents.
  • Respond to day to day inquiries and phone calls from prospective international students.
  • Provide support and assistance in the development of contracts and agreements.
  • Some international travel to recruitment fairs, agent directed seminars and program partners overseas.
  • Provide logistical support for both local events and international deployments.

Required Qualifications, Skills and Abilities (QSA)

Successful candidates will possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field or a combination of academic and related work experience.
  • Three years’ recent/relevant experience in one of the following areas: admissions, marketing, and recruitment
  • Knowledge of emerging markets and trends for international student recruitment.
  • knowledge of education systems in key markets.
  • Ability to understand IRCC policies and procedures.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Values diversity, equity and inclusion and practices and demonstrates intercultural competence within the workplace.
  • Ability to work within diverse groups and structures with the capability to work independently and cooperatively in a team environment in order to establish, build and maintain positive working relationships while ensuring that deadlines, goals and objectives are met.
  • Exceptional communication, analytical, evaluation and problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task.
