Intermediate Structural Engineer – Engineering Consultancy
Location: Abbotsford, BC
Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Pay: $75K - $90K (experience dependent)

Our client, a well-established multi-discipline engineering consultancy, is seeking an Intermediate Structural Engineer to join their team in Abbotsford. With a strong presence across Canada, they specialize in commercial, industrial, and residential development projects, delivering innovative and cost-effective solutions to clients. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional to contribute to structural design, calculations, and construction services on a variety of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct structural analysis and design for municipal, residential, commercial, and industrial projects, including existing structures.
  • Perform structural calculations and prepare technical specifications.
  • Review engineering designs to ensure compliance with codes, standards, and project requirements.
  • Prepare reports and technical documentation as required for client deliverables.
  • Liaise with clients, vendors, and contractors to facilitate project coordination.
  • Assist senior staff with inter-discipline coordination, project reporting, and structural analysis.
  • Provide general project coordination services and technical support.
  • Work closely with design and drafting teams to develop contract drawings and documents.
  • Coordinate structural designs with other disciplines, including architectural, civil, mechanical, and electrical.
  • Offer structural engineering support during construction, attend site meetings, and conduct field reviews.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • P.Eng designation or eligibility for EIT registration.
  • Degree in Structural Engineering.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in structural design and analysis.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration abilities.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to teamwork.
  • Valid driver’s license.
