The Dufresne Group is currently seeking an Intermediate Software Developer Analyst for our Information Systems Team within our Home Office located at 147 Commerce Drive in Winnipeg, MB.

As an Intermediate Software Developer Analyst you will be responsible for utilizing industry standard methods to gather requirements, design, develop, implement, document, maintain and support reporting systems, databases, applications, and collaboration tools.

As the Intermediate Software Developer Analyst you will:

  • Collaborate with the end user community to identify business requirements and formulate system scope and objectives for various business initiatives, from applications to simple ad hoc requests.
  • Design, develop, implement, and support enterprise reporting solutions and provide ad-hoc data analysis.
  • Design, implement and maintain databases in a client/server environment concerning access methods, access time, data validation and integrity checks, organization, security, documentation, and statistical methods.
  • Assist in systems integration design, development, testing and data validation for applications developed internally and by third parties.
  • Design, code, test, debug, document, and deploy new software applications and enhancements to existing ones.
  • Support end users in application usage and administration through consultation, training, and documentation.
  • Stay current on new and emerging technologies.
  • May act as lead on small-scale projects or specialty areas.

As a successful candidate you will have the following:

  • Computer Science degree or equivalent education; a combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • 3+ years of experience developing client/server software.
  • Knowledge of relational database concepts, usage and design.
  • Experience with MS SQL Server including Reporting, Analysis, Integration Services, and Microsoft Power BI or similar report generation tools.
  • Experience with MS Visual Studio or equivalent IDE.
  • High attention to detail and ability to problem solve.
  • Willingness and ability to work a flexible schedule, and/or extra hours depending on project requirements and deadlines, and be on call to provide after hours support as needed.
  • Passport and ability to travel in North America as needed.
  • A satisfactory Criminal Record Check will be required.
