Position: Intermediate / Senior Piping Designer

Location: Lloydminster, Alberta

Education: Technologist Diploma

Experience: Intermediate / Senior

Duties/Responsibilities:

• We are currently seeking a piping designer experienced with creating mechanical, electrical, and structural drawing packages in the oil and gas industry, specifically with AutoCAD Plant 3D and AutoCAD 2D platforms.
• Design/drafting in an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) office.
• Work as part of a multi-discipline team to provide design and detail of various mechanical and structural drawing packages.
• Communicate and interface regularly with client’s engineering, maintenance, and construction personnel, as well as vendors and contractors. Willingness to travel to client offices and field facilities as required.

Qualifications:

• Licensed professional in good standing, and/or eligible for licensure, with ASET and SASTT.
• 4+ years of piping design experience with oil and gas facilities.
• A working knowledge of relevant industry codes and standards (e.g., ASME, CSA, API, etc.).
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Plant 3D and Advance Steel is preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills to interact with team members and external clients.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite.
• Ability to perform effectively as an individual or in a team.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• A valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
