Job Title: Intermediate Quality Assurance Analyst
Client: Regional Municipality of Peel
Work Mode: Hybrid (Minimum 2 days per week on-site)
Location: 10 Peel Centre Drive, Suite A, Ontario, Canada

End Date: May 6, 2026
Project Duration: 1 year with a possibility of extension
Hours per day: 7 hours (1-hour unpaid lunch)
Hours per week: 35 hours
Extension: Yes, optional 12-month extension

Certifications:
- Foundation-level certification in any of the following QA certifications: ISTQB foundation, CSTE, CAST, CTFL, or CSQA.

Job Overview:
The Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of software applications through rigorous testing, defect identification, tracking, prioritization, and resolution. The candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and execute test plans, document test results, and contribute to the improvement of QA processes.
Mandatory Skills & Experience:
- General university degree or specialized college diploma or equivalent experience in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in the field of software quality assurance or related software development lifecycle activities.
- Proven experience in software testing and quality assurance, including test planning, test execution, and defect management.
- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Proficiency in manual and automated testing techniques and tools (e.g., Copado Robotic Testing, Selenium, etc.).
- Ability to write and maintain automated test scripts.
- Familiarity with defect tracking systems and test management tools (e.g., Azure DevOps Test Plans).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly document and communicate test results and issues.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities and project requirements.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration tools (e.g., Copado, Jenkins, etc.).
- Experience with software projects using agile project management methodology, particularly for tracking requirements via user stories and acceptance criteria (e.g., Microsoft Azure DevOps).
- Prior experience testing Salesforce applications and platforms.
