Your Opportunity

We are currently seeking an Intermediate Piping Designer (Industrial) in our [Winnipeg/Saskatoon/Regina] Office. The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator and skilled problem solver with a commitment to thrive in a proactive organization where client service and individual excellence are paramount. Joining our Industrial Buildings group will provide exposure to a wide variety of projects – from advanced manufacturing to food and beverage to renewable energy – and everything in between.

Your Key Responsibilities

1. Provide design experience, from conceptual through detailed engineering, related to process piping associated with industrial buildings projects.
2. Undertake and or assist in project coordination responsibilities, including scheduling, estimating, and project progressing.
3. Review and coordinate vendors and other discipline documents.
4. Participate in site visits when required.
5. Ensure that work conforms to applicable codes, standards, and client specifications.

Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials

1. Good working knowledge of CAD drafting skills using AutoCAD / Plant 3D / AutoPlant.
2. Excellent English communication skills, both verbal & written.
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Experience with energy and pipeline facilities, refinery, or extraction would be a major asset.
5. Experience with PFDs, PIDs, piping layouts and isometrics.
6. Ability to multitask - must be a self-starter and motivated.
7. Should be willing to receive and provide direction.
8. Should be willing to assist on non-industrial projects when needed.
9. Revit experience would be an asset.

Education and Experience

1. Diploma in Engineering Design and Drafting Technology required.
2. Minimum 5 years of experience working with consulting engineering firms preferred.
