Our Water Resources team includes nationally recognized experts in Hydrology, Hydrogeology, Hydrotechnical Engineering, and Geochemistry along with subject matter experts in Water Resources Engineering, Water Balance Modeling, and Water Quality. Stantec is seeking an intermediate Hydrologist/Water Resources Engineer to work as an integrated member of our Water Resources Team in British Columbia. The Intermediate Hydrologist will provide field, technical and project management support for the design and implementation of hydrology, climate, water quality, water resource, and other environmental management components of Stantec’s programs. The successful candidate will join a team that works together to foster a collaborative culture with a focus on communication, mentorship, and opportunity.
Undergraduate degree in sciences or engineering with some prior formal training (e.g., coursework) in hydrology and/or hydrogeology.
Currently licensed or eligible for licensing with EGBC (P.Geo. or P.Eng.).
The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of demonstrated experience related to hydrometric and groundwater monitoring, and surface water and groundwater sampling.
Valid safety training certificates relevant to field work (first aid, auxiliary vehicles, boating, etc.) are an asset.
Typical office environment involves working with computers and remaining relatively sedentary. Field work may include exposure to the elements, including inclement weather and rough terrain, and requirements to lift items and equipment up to 50 lbs.
