Intermediate Front End Developer - Core Apps

A Bit About The Role…
As an Intermediate Front-end Developer at Solink, you will be responsible for creating visually appealing and highly functional user interfaces for our web applications, with support of other Front End Developers and your manager. You will work closely with the design and back-end development teams to implement responsive and intuitive user interfaces that enhance the overall user experience. Your expertise in front-end technologies and attention to detail will contribute significantly to the success of our software products.

- You are dedicated to writing efficient, maintainable, and reusable code.
- You have strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality user experiences.
- You have strong understanding of web performance optimization techniques.
- You have some knowledge of web accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and their implementation.
- You have excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
- You have a creative eye for design and attention to detail.
- You have an ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- You have good communication and collaboration skills.
REQUIREMENTS:
- You have strong proficiency in React and TypeScript.
- You have an understanding of asynchronous request handling, AJAX, and RESTful APIs.
- SaaS experience.
- You have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). Any studies related to AI or ML are a plus.
- You have proficiency in web technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/ES6+, and responsive design frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap).
- You are familiar with version control systems (e.g., Git) and front-end build tools (e.g., Webpack).
SECURITY REQUIREMENTS:
- Candidates must undergo a criminal records check upon hire.
- Be a Canadian Citizen (dual citizens included) or eligible to work in Canada.
- Be willing to comply with Solink’s security policies and standards.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Collaborate with Product and back-end developers to translate design concepts into interactive web pages. Implement the user interface using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript while ensuring cross-browser compatibility and responsiveness.
- Create responsive layouts that adapt to different screen sizes and devices, providing a consistent user experience across various platforms.
- Identify and address performance bottlenecks to improve the loading times and overall performance of web pages.
- Conduct thorough testing of front-end components to identify and fix bugs or issues. Participate in cross-browser and cross-device testing to ensure consistent behavior.
- Work closely with designers, back-end developers, and other team members to ensure effective communication and successful project delivery.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in front-end development. Continuously improve your skills and knowledge to contribute innovative ideas and solutions.
