We are currently seeking applications for an Intermediate Environmental Scientist or Hydrogeologist to work from our Kelowna office.

Your Role:
As an Intermediate Environmental Scientist or Hydrogeologist, you’ll be at the forefront of meaningful environmental and hydrogeological projects. Your responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating, leading, and conducting field investigations, such as drilling, test pitting, soil and groundwater sampling, infiltration testing, in situ hydraulic response testing, and more.
- Analyzing data and preparing comprehensive technical reports for contaminated site and/or hydrogeological investigations (Phase I and II ESAs, Detailed Site Investigations, Environmental Impact Studies for Municipal Wastewater Systems, etc.).
- Writing proposals and collaborating with stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and clients to deliver successful project outcomes.
- Managing budgets, schedules, and tasks for small to mid-sized projects.
- Contributing to knowledge sharing, team training, and staying up-to-date with regulatory requirements.
- Splitting time between fieldwork (40%) and office-based tasks (60%), with occasional travel within the Okanagan area.
What We’re Looking For:
Are you ready to bring your expertise and passion for hydrogeology and environmental science to our team? If so, make sure you have at least a few of the following skills:
- A degree or diploma in earth and environmental sciences, engineering, or applied environmental science.
- At least 3 years of industry experience, and eligibility for professional designation as P.Geo, P.Eng., R.P. Bio., or A.Sc.T, or similar, within 2 years.
- Field-based and reporting experience with contaminated site investigations, including Phase I/II/III ESAs, Stage 1 and 2 PSIs, detailed site investigations (DSIs) and remediations.
- Experience with aquifer and groundwater resource assessment, including but not limited to well and aquifer testing and analysis, groundwater license applications, and proof of water studies would be an asset.
- Experience with wastewater and stormwater disposal to ground assessments, onsite disposal feasibility assessments, rapid infiltration assessments and stormwater management and disposal studies would also be an asset.
- Demonstrated familiarity with the Contaminated Sites Regulation, Municipal Wastewater Regulation, Sewerage System Regulation, and other relevant provincial guidelines and regulations. Bonus: familiarity with federal contaminated site regulations and BC Interior municipal regulations and bylaws.
- A proven track record of soil and groundwater characterization and sampling.
- Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills, with a collaborative mindset.
- An aptitude for business development and project management is a big plus!
Compensation:
Salary: $68,000 - $90,000 per year, commensurate with education, experience, and expertise.
