If you are a talented and experienced RF Electronics Technician, Aplin has the right opportunity for you! Our client, a leader in their field, has partnered with Aplin to grow their team in Montreal!

The Electronics Technician with RF Specialization is an entry-level skilled role that may involve working under the guidance of more experienced technicians or technical/engineering staff. This position includes performing tasks on established systems or new projects of low to medium complexity, following written instructions or general guidelines, and participating in the testing of electronic units and complex systems.

Responsibilities/Tasks:

  • Work under the mentorship of experienced technicians or engineering team members.
  • Assemble and modify developmental electronic circuits based on specific guidelines.
  • Assemble, modify, and verify test benches and test equipment.
  • Conduct basic RF unit tests, including interference measurements, noise figure, RF gain and power supply checks, amplifier compression tests, and oscillation verification.
  • Perform RF measurements with vector network analyzers and other instruments, assessing parameters like reflection coefficient, return loss, and insertion loss.
  • Install electronic assemblies in their designated test setups.
  • Conduct thermal and vacuum thermal tests on various RF electronic sub-assemblies.
  • Record data related to test and experiment outcomes.
  • Understand and follow flight test processes.
  • Adhere to internal procedures and occupational health and safety regulations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Schedule:

  • Training Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • Depending on the assignment, there may be opportunities for day, evening, or weekend shifts.
