Our client is seeking an Intermediate Data Scientist to develop internal tools and end-to-end machine learning solutions in the oil & gas industry. (Req: 9148)

Calgary candidate for 1 year contract. Hybrid 4 days per week, downtown Calgary.

Must Have

• 5+ years experience in Data Science or Machine Learning
• Experience with R, Python, SQL & GIT
• Experience building & deploying custom interfaces using Streamlit, Dash or Shiny
• Experience using big data tools to integrate large datasets in cloud environments
• Post-secondary degree in Data Science, Software Engineering, Computer Science or related field

Nice to Have

• Masters degree in data science, computer science or other related field
• P.Eng
• Oil & Gas experience
• Databricks

Responsibilities:

• Develop internal tools and end-to-end machine learning solutions.
• Utilize big data tools in cloud-enabled environments to access and integrate large datasets for sophisticated analysis.
• Build and deploy custom interfaces using frameworks like Streamlit, Dash, and Shiny.
• Identify and advance cloud/data science opportunities, drive the adoption of data science best practices, and provide training.
