Job Title: IT - IT Project Manager - Intermediate

Duration: 6 months

Remote/Hybrid: 2 days a week in office Mon, Thurs + First Fri of the month in office

Office Location: 81 Bay street, 16th floor

Project Overview: This role will be managing Retail Banking Technology projects for Credit Cards, Mortgages, Lines, Loans, Digital (.com).

Job Description:

The main function of an IT Project Manager is to oversee the application of project management methodology during all phases of the project cycle, with responsibilities that include project design, scope management, cost control, quality, and performance reporting.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Define test plans and ensure that products are defect-free before User Acceptance Testing.
2. Develop, track, and manage project budget, project plans, timelines, and scope.
3. Effectively oversee project staff (direct reports, matrixed reports, contractors, and interns), delegating work to appropriate leads.
4. Efficiently communicate to stakeholders to manage expectations and project progress.
5. Ensure appropriate systems development and project management processes are being utilized.
6. Ensure that necessary risk assessments are continually reviewed and monitored and proactively addressed in a timely fashion.
7. Facilitate the User Acceptance Testing process, developing rollout plans and procedures.
8. Lead teams of developers in the delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet business needs.
9. Make presentations to steering committees or project sponsors.
10. Manage medium to large scale projects working collaboratively with business stakeholders, vendors, and technical resources.
11. Manage project resources including procuring project staff, developing, motivating, coaching, and advising.
12. Partner closely with other members of functional project teams to define business requirements.
13. Prepare and present cost-benefit analyses.
14. Successfully plan, execute, control, and close projects against defined scope and budget using The Bank's procedures and policies.

Must Have Requirements:

1. 5+ years as a Project Manager in the financial industry
2. Knowledge of banking products (mortgages, Credit Cards, etc.)
3. Experience in managing projects at a macro level for Executive reporting (ESCs)
4. Ability to articulate complex technical details while also simplifying them for a broader audience.
5. Excellent communication skills
6. Interact with management from both business and technology side
7. Former experience managing projects with budgets between $500K to $1.5MM+

Nice to Have: STRONG ASSET

1. Previous experience as a Developer, QA, BSA, or BA is an asset
2. Technical background, understanding of cloud technologies (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS)
