What We Are Seeking
As an Intermediate Architectural Technologist, you will actively contribute to the design, delivery and coordination of all phases of the project from pre-design to site administration. This will include responsibility for architectural drawings, design integration/strategies and planning requirements. The successful candidate will have design experience and a solid technical background including demonstrated ability to work in Revit, AutoCAD and 3D modeling software. Collaboration is a key component of this role and will involve consultant coordination, client relations and strong project communication. Duties include:
- Reviewing and communicating current project status to the Project Manager or Job Captain at regular intervals
- Working with the team to ensure project success as measured by client satisfaction, work quality, profitability, and fostering team professionalism and collaboration
- Leading team members and actively participates in the preparation of drawing packages for various permit submissions and/or construction
- Coordinating consultant teams
- Liaising with clients and Approving Authorities when requested
- Preparing project code analysis
- Reviewing drawings for Building Science accuracy, consultant coordination and compliance with local Building Codes and City Bylaw requirements prior to submissions
- Participating in product research including building components and systems

What You Will Bring
- Architectural Technologist Diploma or related discipline from a recognized post-secondary institution
- 5-10 years related experience as an Architectural Technologist
- Proficiency in Revit, Bluebeam, Revizto, and AutoCAD is essential.
- Proficiency in Sketchup, Navisworks would be considered an asset, but not required.
- Understands conceptual design and works to ensure design intent is delivered.
- Intellectually curious and a willingness to learn and take accountability for your role participates in continuing education opportunities and attends lunch and learn
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excels in a collaborative team environment
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- This position may require the ability to travel as needed. Travel may include visiting client sites, attending meetings, participating in training sessions, and representing the company at industry events.
