Intermediate Accountant - 18 months Contract

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Intermediate Accountant for an 18-month contract. In this key role, you’ll work closely with our CFO and a team of experienced professionals, handling full-cycle accounting functions and contributing to the accuracy and integrity of our financial operations.

What You’ll Do

1. Perform full-cycle accounting, including bank transactions and reconciliations.
2. Support month-end and year-end close procedures.
3. Assist with financial statement preparation and year-end working papers.
4. Analyze and reconcile accounting schedules and general ledger accounts.
5. Coordinate corporate credit card documentation and reporting.
6. Communicate with internal teams and external partners.
7. Contribute to process improvements and team collaboration.

What You Bring

1. 2+ years of progressive experience in full-cycle accounting.
2. Strong understanding of accounting principles.
3. Proficiency in Excel and MS Office.
4. Experience with large ERP systems (an asset).
5. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
7. Previous automotive accounting experience (preferred).
8. Enrolled in or working toward a CPA designation (support provided).

Logistical Requirements
This is a full-time 18-month contract position, Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm at our head office at Dueck on Marine. You may be requested to work extended hours in order to meet deadlines based on the needs of the business. Professional attire is required (business casual dress code).
