Who We Are Looking For

Crisis24 seeks an Intelligence Analyst to join the Incident Reporting team within the Global Intelligence Division. Based in Montréal, this position reports to the Intelligence Manager for Incident Reporting as part of Crisis24's global watch mission. In this role, you will be tasked with providing timely, accurate, and relevant intelligence to Crisis24 customers in the form of brief tactical reports. You will also serve as an internal resource. You must be responsible, diligent, composed under pressure, and have demonstrated high quality written and verbal skills.

This position is part of a 24x7 watch team, and the incumbent will be required to work 1 weekend day per week (and will receive 1 weekday off). The incumbent must also be available to work some holidays and adjusted hours, as necessary. The standard shift schedule for this position is approximately 11AM-8PM EDT (10AM-7PM EST), 5 days per week.

What You Will Work On:

  1. Supports the Crisis24 Incident Reporting team in monitoring real-time emerging threats in support of personnel safety and business continuity.
  2. Reacts and responds to high-stress situations.
  3. Thinks critically and practically about complex situations involving multiple factors and sources of information in a time-critical environment.
  4. Follows standard operating procedures and workflows.
  5. Monitors social media and performs open-source research and vetting.
  6. Works with GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and performs basic database management.
  7. Serves as a research resource in support of watch operations, and passes timely information about developing incidents to other departments in support of Crisis24's global watch mission.

What You Will Bring:

Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge is qualifying. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, International Security, or a related field preferred.
  2. 0 to 3 years of work experience in a related field (e.g. data science, research, intelligence analysis) or experience in crisis management or analytical environments.
  3. Foreign travel experience.
  4. Bilingual.
  5. General knowledge of basic office equipment.
  6. Knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  7. Experience with shift work is a plus.
  8. Experience working with GIS tools is a plus.
  9. Excellent English writing and verbal skills, especially the ability to write in a clear and precise manner.
  10. Excellent time management and problem-solving skills; demonstrated ability to take initiative and multi-task under pressure.
  11. Ability to organize and prioritize work with little supervision.
  12. Intelligence gathering, research, and analysis experience preferred.
  13. Foreign language proficiency is a plus.
