Integration Analyst, Healthtech

OceanMD
Old Toronto
CAD 80,000 - 100,000
Job description

Join us as we change healthcare for the better.

OceanMD, a WELL Health Company, is the leading provider of EMR-integrated Patient Engagement and eReferral tools in Canada, playing a critical role in millions of patient visits and thousands of referrals every week. Our digital healthcare solutions empower patients and physicians to overcome the barriers preventing the timely delivery of healthcare services. By replacing paper forms with digital tools, we give patients and providers secure ways to connect, share health information, and update patient records.

Who we need

Reporting to the VP, Product & Interoperability, we have a newly created opportunity for an Integration Analyst to join our team. You will support public sector clients and technology partners as they integrate with Ocean’s HL7 FHIR-based solutions. You will bring technical, code-level expertise to support FHIR APIs, address technical inquiries, troubleshoot errors, identify gaps or bugs, and review partner payloads. Additionally, you will champion best practices, ensure adherence to standards, and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.

This is a full-time role requiring work in-office four days per week.

Who you are

You are looking for a unique opportunity that combines digital or e-health, bridges the private and public sectors, and makes a meaningful impact at both the clinical and patient care levels. Your path to this role might vary—you could have a technical background as a Developer exploring a new career direction, be a recent graduate eager to apply your API skills, or have experience working at a B2B support desk. Regardless of your background, you excel at listening, asking insightful questions, and translating complex technical information into clear, accessible language for non-technical audiences.

How you will make an impact

  • Enhance partnerships. You will build relationships with integrating partners by meeting with them regularly to increase an understanding of their product, their team and the inner workings of their integration system and requirements.
  • Support integrations. You will respond to technical questions from integrators and provide support and guidance as needed. You will troubleshoot integration error conditions experienced by partners and dive into our product codebase to find root causes.
  • Collaborate. You will work with internal stakeholders to develop and maintain technical documentation, including user guides, training materials, sample code, and technical specifications.
  • Prioritize continuous improvement. You will stay up-to-date with digital health integration industry trends and best practices. You will identify opportunities to improve the performance, reliability, and scalability of our HL7 FHIR-based software.

What you bring

  • The passion. You are passionate about our purpose and applying your talents to connect people with technical solutions that make their lives or work more accessible.
  • The technical background. You have technical experience in software development or support, including knowledge of REST API design principles and authorization and authentication frameworks. You are comfortable writing technical documentation. You may have an understanding of HL7 FHIR standards and specifications.
  • The customer-focus. You have flexible and effective communication and conflict management skills and can translate technical instructions to a non-technical audience. You are empathetic and can respond urgently to client needs, prioritizing issues to meet demands.
  • The analytical approach. You are naturally curious. You are a critical thinker who can creatively solve problems, and you continuously pursue knowledge. You can dig deep to understand the root cause of technical issues and translate complex solutions for a non-technical audience.

What you can expect from our interview process:

  • A virtual interview with a Talent Advisor discussing your interest in the role and the company.
  • A technical assessment of your FHIR and SMART understanding.
  • A virtual or in-person interview with the VP, Product & Interoperability and the Integration Lead. This is a technical and behavioural interview.
  • A virtual or in-person interview with senior team members to meet your future colleagues and ask any final questions you may have.
