In April 2024, the Boards of St. Mary’s General and Grand River Hospitals both independently voted in favour of a voluntary merger of the Hospitals to form a new hospital organization. This evolution of our partnership will occur alongside our joint redevelopment work, as we strive to build a new acute care campus in the community. We welcome talent to both St. Mary’s General Hospital and Grand River Hospital that are ready to be part of an exciting, generational change for hospital care in Waterloo Region.
As Grand River Hospital and St. Mary’s General Hospital build the “Future of Care” together and a unified new hospital starting in April 2025, they are looking to recruit the Integrated Director for Medical Imaging, on a temporary basis, that will enable the success of a new hospital that delivers innovative care to Ontario’s fastest growing region.

How Integrated Director, Medical Imaging support our teams at Grand River and St. Mary’s General Hospitals:
The Integrated Director, Medical Imaging provides strategic direction for the development and operation of the Medical Imaging Department in support of the overall mission of the Hospital. The role oversees all Cardio-respiratory and electrodiagnostic services at Grand River Hospital and central Portering services at St. Mary’s General Hospital until such time the organizations merge in April 2025. The Integrated Director sets service goals and objectives, securing and managing resources and directing operational activities.
