As the Insurance Broker Operations Specialist (Commercial Lines), you will play a crucial role within the team, providing valuable support to the Product Manager in managing the Insurance/Broker Management System. Drawing upon your extensive knowledge and expertise in insurance processes, broker workflows, and technology systems, you optimize the performance and efficiency of the system. Your deep understanding of insurance operations will allow you to support streamlining processes and enhancing user experiences with the system.

Expected Compensation: The expected hiring range for this role is $96,000 - $120,000 with a 35-hour work week. Your rate of pay will be determined based on your individual qualifications and experience, while considering internal equity.

Why we’ll love You:

  • You have over 7 years of experience as a Commercial Lines (CL) broker insurance specialist, or similar role within the insurance industry
  • You have a deep understanding of various CL insurance products and processes
  • You have over 5 years of in-depth experience with various Broker Management Systems
  • You have a strong aptitude for learning new technologies
  • You possess solid oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • You have an astute attention to detail with demonstrated ability to be methodical and well-organized
  • You demonstrate the ability to work alone as well as collaborate with other teammates and departments
  • You are proactive and resourceful in problem solving and possess strong critical thinking abilities
  • You are comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities
  • Bonus: You have experience with Benefits and Financial Services type insurance products and processes

Once here, you'll:

  • Work in partnership with the Product Manager in their day-to-day tasks to support the overall development and improvement of the Insurance/Broker Management System.
  • Serve as a Commercial Lines (CL) subject matter expert in insurance broker operations, broker workflows, and industry best practices in order to tailor the configuration and development of the Insurance/Broker Management System to meet the specific needs of our users on a national level.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with the Product Manager and Business Analysts to conduct user research and gather feedback from brokers and agents to continuously improve the usability and user experience of the Insurance/Broker Management System.
  • In concert with the Product Manager, gather requirements for new functionality as required with the acquisition of brokerages that have specialized CL operations and/or products.
  • Assist the Product Manager in ensuring the Insurance/Broker Management System complies with industry regulations and security standards.
  • Facilitate branch touch point meetings and host other client meetings as required.
  • Create documentation/business support artifacts as required.
  • Develop effective, respectful, and collaborative relationships with team members as well as internal and external partners.
  • Other duties as assigned.
