DUTIES
Reporting to the Chair, Skilled Trades, Transportation, and Technologies in the School of Continuing Education, the Instructor will be responsible for facilitating instruction in the Transportation, Logistics and Supply Chain Management certificate program. These courses may include, but are not limited to Transportation Systems, Logistics Processes, Introduction to Supply Chain Management and Introduction to Computers. These courses may be delivered online and/or in-class at the Exchange District or Notre Dame campuses in Winnipeg. Duties will include the preparation of course materials and assessments, instruction of students and evaluation of assessments. Duties related to instructing include curriculum development and maintenance, preparing course outlines, maintaining student records, student evaluation, and assisting in College activities including student orientation, graduation, and relevant committees.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Certificate in Transportation, Logistics and Supply Chain Management: an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
- CITT Certified Logistics Professional (CCLP) designation
- Significant industry experience in supply chain management or a related field of work
- Strong presentation skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to teach on campus and remotely
- Ability to work independently as well as in small to large group settings
- Proficient using technology, such as Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint)
- Experience building a respectful workplace culture that promotes diversity, learning and continuous improvement
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience managing business projects using a project management methodology
- Registered Project Management Professional designation (PMP or similar)
- Experience in curriculum and/or program development
- Experience in adult education
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
- Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- This position may be required to work evenings and/or weekends
- Instructors are required to complete the Teaching for Learning (TFL) in Applied Education program or have previously completed the Certificate in Adult Education (CAE)
- This position may be required to work throughout the academic year including the summer months
- May be required to work at various RRC Polytech campuses
