Your Opportunity:
As a Seniors’ Health Instructor – Clinical Educator in a regionalized department, you will be responsible for providing education to staff in Central Zone. Your responsibilities will be to develop, coordinate, facilitate, and deliver education as required. You will partner with clinical educators from other portfolios and other health care professionals to develop and facilitate clinical education that expands across portfolios. Travel is required to multiple sites within the zone.
Description:
As an Instructor, you will be an expert practitioner and key educator in support of both nursing staff and the multi-disciplinary clinical team. You will take a leadership role in the planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of education for nursing staff including orientation, compulsory and continuing education, and clinical development. You will collaborate with management and internal partners to promote standards of clinical, educational, and evidence-informed practice. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family-centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years road-based rural nursing experience with at least 2 years recent experience in Home Care and/or LTC. Strong working knowledge of CCHSS. A combination of education and experience may be considered. Strong computer knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a virtual team.
Preferred Qualifications:
Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing. Minimum of 2 years teaching experience preferably with an adult focus in a health care setting. Previous training as a Connect Care Superuser.
