As our innovative business continues to rapidly grow, we are seeking a full-time Inside Sales / Customer Service Representative at our Richmond location. Reporting to the Customer Service Manager, the Inside Sales / Customer Service Representative is responsible for providing the best customer service to our customers at the Richmond location. Position: Full-Time, Permanent

Salary: $42,000 / year

• up to 10% annual bonus based on performance

Schedule: 5 days between Sunday and Friday, 10:30am-7pm

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Receive and process orders / credits by telephone, in person, via fax, email, SPS, EDI, sales answering machines
2. Promotion and sales of connected, push or new product
3. Initiate sales by calling existing clients
4. Check inventory for product availability, delivery schedule, and price verification
5. Troubleshoot customer service issues and coordinate between internal departments such as Accounting, Assembly, Outside Sales, Dispatch, Processing or Purchasing for a positive outcome
6. Print pickup slips and invoices
7. Run and sort orders and reports for various internal and external customers / departments
8. Arrange for pickup of orders with correct corresponding paperwork.
9. Advise shortages to Sales Representatives and input orders for appropriate substitutions
10. Assist arrivals at Reception and the Pickup counter, process order payments and paperwork
11. Maintain a positive, empathetic and professional attitude towards customers at all times
12. Daily entry and posting of orders and credits
13. Commitment to Food Safety by adhering to HACCP and CFIA hygiene rules / sanitary work practices
14. Other duties as required

Requirements:

1. High school diploma
2. Ability to stay calm under pressure
3. Great ability to learn and retain information
4. Excellent customer service skills and strong computer skills
5. Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral English language
