YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:

Reporting to the Manager, IT Infrastructure, you will be part of the Information Technology Department. You will be responsible for configuring and supporting server infrastructure, backups, storage, and general network and security functions on a global scale. Additionally, you will handle documentation and management, ensuring the integrity and security of the servers on which the solutions run. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, test, and configure Windows servers, backup systems and storage;
  • Perform server maintenance with software updates and security patches;
  • Perform system backups, restores and disaster recovery tests;
  • Responsible for server system monitoring and alerting;
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve system issues and/or respond to outages;
  • Support, maintain, and troubleshoot VMWare virtualization technology;
  • Perform hardware support and maintenance;
  • Assist in the support and maintenance of all equipment at the Equinix datacenter;
  • Test and perform upgrades and patches to installed operating systems and software;
  • Overall management of the companywide antivirus and antimalware solution;
  • Assist in the support and maintenance of networking and security equipment;
  • Test, install and configure InTune for MDM;
  • Test, install and configure wireless access points;
  • Respond to alerts from various security monitoring dashboards for Antivirus, Malware, Firewall Management, Active Directory, Network Performance, SIEM, User Behavior Analysis, and Cloud Services;
  • Support corporate policies, procedures and best practices pertinent to supporting Windows servers;
  • Assist in the support and maintenance of Active Directory throughout the organization.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

  • University degree or College diploma in the field of computer science and/or 3 years equivalent work experience;
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft platforms and Windows Servers;
  • Experience with system monitoring and backup solutions such as Veeam;
  • Strong knowledge of VMWare/Windows/Microsoft/HP technologies;
  • General knowledge of Cisco routers and HP switches;
  • Active Directory, DNS, DHCP;
  • Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills;
  • Mining background is a plus;
  • Self-motivated and directed and keen attention to detail;
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment;

Your Work Schedule:

  • Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday from our Corporate Office in Toronto, ON. Occasional visits to site and conference may also be required.
