Vacancy Status: Full Time

Job Summary

In collaboration with appropriate clinical departments, relevant support departments, and information technology, the Coordinator supports the core functions of the hospital’s Imaging and supporting information systems to enable cost-effective, high quality, efficient, and safe patient care. This position works closely with clinicians and managers in the design, implementation, workflow optimization, change management, and issue resolution related to imaging systems. The position has thorough knowledge of the integration among various Imaging system modules with various business and clinical systems.


Responsibilities
  • First line of contact for all IT issues in Diagnostic Imaging, including hardware and software.
  • Works collaboratively with Transform SSO, Physicians and Managers.
  • Participates in the development of and provides relevant training for end users.
  • Provides on-going support to physicians, technologists and clerical staff for any computer related issues.
  • Troubleshoots, resolves, or escalates issues as appropriate.
  • Performs hands-on technical work and may act as lead for technical tasks on designated systems.
  • Ensures overall data quality/system integrity for designated systems.
  • Assists with new workflow or other systems changes to increase efficiency and system usability.
  • Possesses in-depth working knowledge of system design, build, testing, troubleshooting, and operational support.
  • Orientates new staff and physicians to the DI systems, as required.
  • Develops “How to” and Orientation manuals for end users.
  • Performs other duties and assignments as required.

  • Able to follow-through on commitments in an orderly fashion.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Qualifications
  • Relevant bachelor’s degree/diploma or Imaging designation required.
  • 3-5 years related work experience in an Imaging department or healthcare setting preferred.
  • Experience working with Radiology, Cardiology and/or other Clinical Departments using diagnostic imaging equipment, PACS or PACS related technology; having familiarity of the clinical workflows associated with these systems preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience prioritizing multiple activities and objectives in a rapidly changing environment and delivering quality output and service.
  • Must have strong communication skills in terms clearly understood by technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Must be able to work independently and/or in a team environment.
  • French Language proficiency an asset.
Other
  • This position is required to work on-call.
