POSITION SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Manager, Security & Privacy Services, the Information Security & Privacy Analyst is responsible for implementing and monitoring all policies, procedures and system technologies related to provisioning access to systems and/or information. This role works closely with key hospital stakeholders (e.g., Health Information Management) and the technology teams to monitor access and authorization objectives and leads the development of system controls to ensure adherence.

This role is responsible for conducting investigations into specific policy breaches as well as an element of internal audit function in assisting the management team in testing, validating, and demonstrating adoption and adherence to Security & Privacy policies.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Provide clients with direction to remediate security events.
• Assist clients with security incident response and handling activities.
• Web filter, Antivirus and IDS incident tracking and follow-up.
• Intrusion Detection / Prevention administration.
• Security Incident and Event Management administration.
• Use and contribute to internal procedures, technical articles for effective support, escalation, client service.
• Responsible for communicating Security awareness to hospital staff.
• Privacy Administration – incident and consent action tracking, breach notification.
• Privacy self-assessment survey implementation and tracking.
• Responsible for communicating Privacy awareness to hospital and regional staff.
• Policy compliance - routinely and on demand performs audits of access by TransForm staff through automated and manual methods e.g., logs, alerts, etc.
• Participates in the delivery of security related technology implementation activities in accordance with regional project management methodologies.
• Works as part of a regional Information Management team to assist designing, developing or procuring secure business and clinical applications.
• Responsible for making recommendations for assigned areas of responsibility.
• Responsible for work assignments prioritization, scheduling, and issues management for areas of responsibility.
• Shared responsibility for upkeep, safeguarding of production systems along with all other TransForm teams.
• Responsible for delivery of assigned project roles (e.g., Work-Stream Participant).

MUST-HAVES:

• Three (3) year University Degree or Community College diploma in Information Technology or equivalent work experience and certifications.
• Minimum four to six (4-6) years of experience in supporting IT technology solutions and/or services in a complex IT environment.

WE VALUE:

• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent computer security certification an asset.
• Healthcare IT related experience an asset.
• Experience in participating in large scale technology implementation projects.
• Experience in providing wide scale technology support services.
• Experience establishing and maintaining effective relationships with clients, vendors, and team members.

• Minimal exposure to disagreeable conditions typical of an office position: exposed to stress and pressure associated with multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Must be available to perform other duties as assigned.
• Must meet the benchmarked standards and requirements of the job.
• Must follow all company practices, policies and procedures.
• Must be able to travel within the Southwestern ON area when required using a reliable vehicle.
• Must be available to work after hours on occasion.
