About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced and talented technologist to join our team as a Senior WinOps Engineer. The WinOps team is responsible for designing, orchestrating, and ensuring the proper functioning of all Corporate Technology. This includes, but is not limited to, Windows Infrastructure, Citrix VDI, SaaS platforms, Azure Cloud resources, and End-User Systems.

Senior Engineers serve as the highest escalation point for complex technical issues, collaborating with global support teams and engineering peers. Our solutions provide critical foundational services to all of Corporate, including investment professionals, middle-office employees, back-office employees, and technologists. This hands-on role offers the opportunity to manage, innovate, and design complex systems in a dynamic enterprise environment. A core principle for our team is integrating automation into everything we do, striving for extreme efficiency. Senior Engineers in this role are key technical resources and thought leaders within the firm.

Key Responsibilities:

Senior WinOps Engineers are at the heart of our user-facing technology and are truly exceptional colleagues. In this role, you will not only support our Microsoft and Citrix systems but also take ownership of project delivery and implement complex system changes to drive business growth and functionality. Responsibilities include deploying new infrastructure through code and developing integrations for all systems used by our firm. Senior Engineers lead by example, collaborating, influencing, planning, and executing complex technical and business changes.

Qualifications:

1. A consistent history of strong coding automation in enterprise technology, ideally PowerShell
2. Great knowledge and real-world experience with all core Microsoft technologies
3. A solid understanding of Microsoft Office 365, Azure, and On-premise Windows Administration
4. SME-level skills in Citrix DaaS, FAS, Storefront, ADC, and core VDI concepts
5. Expertise in Azure environment design, deployment, management, and continuous improvement
6. Strong skills in managing and deploying Azure infrastructure and services through Terraform
7. Experience working with source control software (Git, Mercurial or similar)
8. The ability to iterate quickly and work autonomously, delivering fixes and incremental improvements in short two-week sprints
9. Excellent communication skills, with a proven track record of writing concise technical documentation and being able to gain trust and engage with non-technical colleagues
10. A proven track record in an environment supporting mission-critical finance or trading systems
11. Deep knowledge of several packaging technologies (Chocolatey, App-V, MSIX, Masking, and similar)
12. The ability to design and deliver new systems and processes from the ground up
13. VMware or similar knowledge with strong familiarity with virtualization concepts
14. A solid understanding of System Security concepts, being able to consider and implement CyberSecurity and Resilience in all your work
15. A sound understanding of fundamental Networking principles
