The Industrial IT Automation Specialist will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining industry 4.0 integration projects, automated systems and processes within an industrial setting to improve efficiency and productivity, often working with PLCs, SCADA, and other industrial control systems. Work closely with other IT team members, engineers, operations, and business stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
Your Role And Responsibilities- Develop, implement and maintain Marwood Industry 4.0 initiatives
- Develop and program chosen IoT applications and networks.
- Configure Data Acquisition systems collecting real-time data from various sources. PLCs, MTConnect, MQTT etc.
- Prepare data up to Kepware, Niagara and log data into SQL Server.
- Troubleshoot operational issues with 4.0 Integration on existing processes and workcenters.
- Assist with managing 4.0 OEE/Rates/Pmt numbers/Images/machine logs. Handle various requests from the production team.
- Maintain Kepware OPC Server. Channel and tag creation.
- Keep User Support Requests updated and generate new ones when issues arise.
- Create/maintain company process drawings and documentation where related.
- Daily contact and work with cross functional teams such as Manufacturing/Quality/Production & IT at all levels.
- Continuously identify process risks; Identify, resolve and communicate.
- Undertake other duties and responsibilities within the IT department as required.
Key Requirements- Completion of College or Technical Training School
- Technical Skills: Expertise in PLC integration and Kepware platform. Knowledge of MS SQL Server.
- Strong understanding of industrial automation technologies, including PLCs, SCADA, HMI, DCS systems.
- Programming Skills: Proficiency in programming languages used in industrial automation, such as ladder logic, structured text, and function block diagrams. Kepware, Niagara and MS SQL Server.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to automation systems.
- Sound judgment to escalate issues to senior members within the IT department organization.
- Communication Skills: Ability to clearly communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Teamwork Skills: Ability to work effectively as part of a team to achieve project goals.
- Exceptional multi-tasking abilities and prioritization skills.
- Strong customer service mindset.
