Job Overview: GrizzlyTrek Group Ltd. is seeking a skilled and bilingual Class C Red Seal Electrician for a full-time position in mine maintenance in the picturesque town of Mont Laurier, QC. Job Summary: Electricians install and repair cables, electrical appliances, lighting systems, control devices, and related equipment in buildings and facilities on a mine site. They may be called upon to work in workshops and collaborate with several different trades during their workday, as they evolve within multidisciplinary teams and must be very versatile. They can install and connect power lines or maintain conveyor electrical circuits. They can install, handle, repair, and maintain a wide variety of electrical appliances and industrial equipment, even from the most modern automation technologies used by the mining industry, and diagnose problems. In some cases, they are the only ones who hold the necessary certification to handle and troubleshoot certain electrical devices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assume responsibility for the efficient and timely performance of the function of an industrial electrician.
• Work on power equipment up to 25kV.
• Perform the installation and maintenance of various electrical components as well as electrical appliances.
• Follow established procedures and instructions.
• Meet safety and quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe workplace.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with relevant departments and their supervisor.
• Attend and participate in assigned committees and training sessions to update technical knowledge as required.
• Perform any other related duties.

Qualifications | Education:

• Professional diploma (DEP), College diploma (DEC) in industrial electronics or equivalent.
• Hold a journeyman electrician certificate and accumulate more than 5000 hours of trade.
• Have all qualifications and skills relevant to the position.

Skills:

• Must hold a valid driver's license issued by the SAAQ (class 5).
• Aptitude tests required.
• Be available to work on a flexible schedule when necessary and on call.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to execute detailed instructions and to deal with problems involving a few variables.
• Ability to communicate in simple sentences.
