Industrial Electrician - Brandon MB

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated, fully ticketed maintenance industrial electrician for a Brandon manufacturing company, who leads the way in their industry, but has a close-knit team keeping it running.

As a fully ticketed maintenance staff member, you will be responsible for performing industrial electrical work and millwright tasks in the manufacturing plant. As this is a maintenance role in an automated facility, candidates must be fully ticketed (Red Seal) industrial electricians who are able to also do millwright maintenance work. This is a full time permanent role in the city of Brandon with no travel. There is also a $5,000 relocation signing bonus.

Responsibilities

What you'll be doing:

1. Electrical work (20-30%) and millwright tasks
2. Perform PMs, rebuilds, and repairs on automated manufacturing equipment
3. Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues
4. Install, maintain and repair electrical systems, including AC/DC drives, motors, conveyors, gearboxes, VFDs / PLCs, air actuated valves, and pneumatics (limited hydraulics)
5. Maintain a variety of machines, including compressors, boilers (200 hp), and pumps (mostly liquid displace and centrifugal)
6. Work with Allen Bradley PLCs and VFDs (no programming needed)
7. Use welding skills to work with stainless steel
8. Upgrade machines when needed
9. Recommend to management process improvement

Qualifications

What you bring:

1. Red Seal Industrial Electrician ticket, with 3-5 years of maintenance experience (manufacturing or fabrication)
2. Ability to be reliable, honest, and show strong work ethic
3. Basic electrical, fabrication, welding (stainless), and machining experience
4. Familiarity with the maintenance world
5. Ability to work well with others and be a self-starter
6. Excellent communication and organizational skills
