Industrial Electrician

Job Description

My client has an immediate requirement for an Industrial Electrician to join their site in Southampton. The position is on days Mon-Fri and is initially for 6 months with a review after this period. Umbrella rate of £32-£36/hr.

Prerequisites:

1. Industrial Technician / Electrician: Expected to work as part of a pair on plant and LV installations across the port estate.
2. Any experience in maintenance works & PPMs.
3. NVQ level 3 in a form electrical discipline.
4. Test and inspect (2394 & 2395 certification) would be desirable but not a deal breaker.
5. Experience in fire alarm systems.
6. Experience in PLCs and working through 24V bus and control systems.
7. Able to read schematic drawings and fault find on control/bus systems.
8. Able to work in a team with others.
9. Experience working on large assets with super structures (PBBs/cranes).
10. Understanding of emergency lighting systems (central battery).
