Industrial Electrician

Reporting to the Service Coordinator, You, as an Industrial Electrician will install, maintain, and repair electrical equipment and parts, such as control panels distribution panels, cable trays, conduit, ducts, building management and control systems etc. This position requires extensive knowledge of electrical components as well as electrical safety codes and regulations. You are professional, technical, and mechanically proficient. The work of electricians can often be physically demanding. To install and repair equipment, you will need to crawl, climb, and stand for extended periods of time. You can operate tools near electrical components in a safe and proficient manner.

Job Requirements

• Comfortable with field work out of a service vehicle up to 100% of time
• Must possess good interpersonal and strong communication skills in English (both written and verbal)
• Must possess the ability to operate alone or as part of a team
• Must possess effective organizational, prioritization, and time management skills
• Must have excellent attention to detail
• Must always possess a safe attitude
• Must be reliable, motivated, organized and be able to work in a dynamic fast-paced and fun, team-driven environment
• Solid understanding of process and equipment operations
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics
• Understanding of electrical and automated control systems
• Experience estimating new jobs/projects is considered an asset
• Direct experience with PLC or VFD programming is considered an asset

Required Qualifications

• Interprovincial Red Seal Electrician
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in an industrial setting
• Class 5 drivers license

Preferred Qualifications

• FSR A or B
• WorkSafeBCOccupational First AidLevel 1 or higher
