We have an immediate need for an Industrial Electrician to join our Maintenance Team. In this role, you will play a key part in the repair and maintenance of our facilities machines and systems such as multi-axis turning centers, specialized lens manufacturing equipment, and thin film coating chambers. You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with skilled professionals, leverage advanced technologies, and contribute to the success of Raytheon ELCAN.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Read and interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical specifications to guide installation, repair, and maintenance activities.
2. Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and machinery in accordance with relevant electrical codes and safety standards.
3. Conduct routine inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance to identify and address potential issues before they lead to downtime or production delays.
4. Troubleshoot electrical faults, diagnose problems, and implement effective solutions in a timely manner to minimize disruption to production.
5. Planning and coordinating of resources and activities within the team, other departments and external as required.
6. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment history, and maintenance logs.
7. Comply with all safety regulations and company policies, promoting a culture of safety and ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
8. Remain current with developments in electrical technology, industry best practices, and relevant codes and regulations.
9. Share in the commitment towards a positive workplace culture.

Qualifications & Experience:

1. Valid Ontario Electrician License (442A). A 309A license will be considered based on experience working on industrial controls.
2. Minimum 3 to 5 years of work experience in manufacturing working with high precision machinery (mechanical, optical, and measuring equipment).
3. Strong knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards.
4. Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
5. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical faults effectively and efficiently.
6. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
7. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
8. Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with other team members.
9. Availability to work on a rotating shift schedule and respond to emergency calls as needed.
