Industrial Electrician

Our facility in Hudson Bay, SK has the opportunity for a skilled Industrial Electrician with a thorough comprehensive knowledge of electrical equipment, processes and techniques to safely repair, modify, install and maintain the facility and high-tech OSB manufacturing equipment, to join our Team.

Key Functions:

1. The Industrial Electrician will have a total commitment to safety and efficient electrical/maintenance practices.
2. The successful candidate must have excellent work history, be able to work independently, and work rotating shifts.
3. The candidate will be required to take a pre-employment electrical assessment.

Minimum Requirements:

1. All Applicants must have a Red Seal certification.
2. Preference will be given to dual ticketed instrumentation as second ticket.
3. Ability or willingness to learn troubleshooting duties with the use of control logix 5000.
4. Willingness to wear all required PPE and able to fit test and wear a respirator.
5. Willingness to work at heights, in confined spaces, climb stairs and work in an environment containing wood dust and extreme heat and cold.

Preferred Candidate Experience:

1. Experience with Allen Bradley, PLC’s, AC & DC drives and follow CSA Z462 and NFA 70E standards.
2. Mechanical operations such as hydraulics and pneumatics.
3. Basic knowledge of computers (Windows) and of the NEC is essential.
4. Ability to troubleshoot using blueprints, schematics, computers and appropriate test equipment.
