This position is for an experienced maintenance crew member responsible for electrical maintenance and repair of plant equipment at an industrial feed manufacturing facility. Areas of expertise in the operation of associated electrical equipment is emphasized. Primary goal is to assure safe and efficient production by responding to changing conditions in timely manner.
Candidates with 5+ years of experience preferred. Starting pay range for this position is $28-$33/hr., with potential for higher earnings based on skills, experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities:
- Performs electrical maintenance in all areas of the plant on a scheduled or emergency basis.
- Repairs, Replacements, Installations, Alterations, Troubleshooting, Cleaning, and Testing for the following:
- Electrical Motors and associated components such as Starters, MCC’s and VFD’s.
- Distribution equipment such as Panelboards and Switchgear.
- Conductors and Terminations.
- Sensors and Instrumentation.
- Conduits, Raceways and Fittings.
- LED, HID and Incandescent Lighting.
- Standard components such as Transformers, Plugs, Receptacles, Fixtures and devices.
- Communicates directly with production to coordinate maintenance and repair work.
- Cares for and ensures safe use of company provided tools.
- Obtain certification for the use of industrial vehicles and aerial work platform equipment.
- Work in confined spaces.
- Adherence to NEC and local codes.
- Patrols electrical and non-electrical equipment to verify safe and efficient operating conditions.
- Performs preventive maintenance activities as required.
- Assists with new installations and other projects, as requested by the supervisor.
- Works with contractors to plan and implement installation of new equipment or systems.
- Participates in programs and procedures required to ensure plant cleanliness.
- Must be available for overtime work on a scheduled or call-in basis.
- Other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.
Minimum Requirements:
- A high school diploma is required.
- Proof of 8000 hours or (5) years of experience in a related field.
- Technical experience, working with sensors and instrumentation.
- Proof of previous or current enrollment in an Electrical Apprenticeship Program or certification as a general electrician preferred.
- Proof of Arc-Flash PPE training preferred.
