Industrial Maintenance Electrician
Paying $41 per hour + Shift Premium + Benefits
Shift Afternoons
Location – Bradford, ON

Responsibilities:

1. Diagnose and remedy any electrical trouble in the plants.
2. Keep electrical hardware such as motors, switchboards, and other electrical mechanisms in good repair.
3. Perform preventative maintenance (PM) schedules as required.
4. Troubleshoot and program machinery using various P.L.C. formats.
5. Work with Maintenance Mechanics / Millwrights in a trouble-shooting capacity.
6. Complete all check sheets and records as related to the electrician function.
7. Instruct maintenance apprentice in trade-related tasks and skills.
8. Modify machinery and equipment and overhaul machines as directed.
9. Prepare and distribute machine reports and downtime reports.
10. Suggest preventative measures to minimize or eliminate breakdowns.
11. Assist in the installation and commissioning of equipment.
12. Responsible for electrical installations of new equipment, and re-siting of equipment as per electrical code.
13. Work in a competent manner and always follow the current Ontario Electrical Code.
14. Serve as a member of the Emergency Response Team.
15. Be aware of the relevance and importance of their activities and how they affect quality and the environment for our customers.

Requirements:

1. Completion of specialized trade courses and/or apprenticeship/certification.
2. 3 to less than 5 years of work-related experience.
3. Minimum certified tradesman (industrial electrician).
4. Minimum of 1 year directly related trade experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, not including apprenticeship.
5. Must have exceptional safety record.
