Job Description: Indigenous Welder's Helper

Location: Grande Prairie, Alberta

GrizzlyTrek Group Ltd. is seeking motivated individuals to join our team as an Indigenous Welder's Helper. This position focuses on manufacturing for the oil and gas industry, including facility fabrication and occasional on-site work. This is an exciting opportunity to participate in an apprenticeship program, develop hands-on skills, and build a meaningful career in the welding trade within a structured manufacturing environment.

Job Details

  • Position: Indigenous Welder's Helper
  • Location: Grande Prairie, Alberta
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime as required.
  • Compensation: Starting at $22 per hour, with room for advancement.

Responsibilities

  • Support skilled welders in daily tasks within a shop manufacturing environment.
  • Assist with facility fabrication and on-site welding tasks as needed.
  • Participate in structured training to develop foundational skills in welding.
  • Maintain a safe and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Prepare materials and equipment for welding activities.

Requirements

  • Willingness to join and actively participate in an apprenticeship program.
  • Ability to commit to regular work hours and occasional overtime.
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from the job site.
  • A valid Class 5 driver's license is considered an asset.

Required Certifications

To ensure safety and compliance, candidates must possess the following certifications:

  1. Fall Protection: Course Link - Energy Safety Canada
  2. H2S Alive:
  3. Confined Space Training: Course Link - Energy Safety Canada
  4. CSO (Common Safety Orientation): Course Link - Energy Safety Canada
  5. Alberta Standard First Aid with BC Endorsement: Course Link - AT Safety Training
  6. CSTS (Construction Safety Training System): Course Link - ACSA
