Job description

We want our employees to feel great coming to work, so that’s why we give our talent the tools to excel. After all, a remarkable employee experience leads to extraordinary experiences for our members. If you have an affinity for working in a vibrant environment where your achievements are celebrated, then a career with us sounds like the perfect fit!

Are you an Indigenous student working on a degree or diploma and want the real-world experience to go along with it? Then, you’ve come to the right place! As part of our commitment to Truth and Reconciliation, Affinity is offering a program that provides employment, as well as financial assistance in the form of a scholarship and a sport/art bursary for children of the successful student.

We’re looking for two outgoing individuals to work in our credit union and deliver remarkable experiences to our members. As you work full-time hours during the summer term, you’ll be able to maintain a healthy life/work balance serving our members in a collaborative environment. Add a competitive starting wage of $21 and you’ve got the perfect gig!

If you have an affinity for working in an environment that’s challenging and where your achievements are celebrated, then we want you to join our team!

What you’ll do:

  • Conduct banking transactions for our walk-in members
  • Listen to and engage with our members to spot opportunities where they could benefit from our banking tools, products, services or advice from our experts to enhance their financial health
  • Deliver administrative tasks, such as appointment scheduling, opening accounts and executing campaigns

What you’ll get:

  • Support and leadership to excel at your job
  • A competitive wage starting at $21 per hour
  • A scholarship to support your education
  • Up to $500 in sport/art bursaries for your children
  • The opportunity to contribute and make a difference through community involvement

What you’ve got:

  • A high school diploma
  • The personality to interact with and serve members, aiming to make their interactions with us the best part of their day!
  • Ample experience using digital tools and apps that can help our members with their banking (online banking, smartphones, tablets, etc.)

So, what do you think? Does it sound like you’re a fit for this role? Throw your hat in the ring!
