Job Overview
Village Dental Hygienist specializes in Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT). GPT is a modern, minimally invasive approach to treating dental plaque and biofilm. It's a method used primarily for professional dental cleanings, particularly in patients who require effective plaque removal with minimal discomfort or disruption to the oral tissues.

Working hours: Thursday, Friday, Saturday. Hours negotiable.

Responsibilities

• Perform dental cleanings (Guided Biofilm Therapy) on patients of all ages
• Assess patients' oral health and provide preventive care recommendations
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques
• Record patient histories and update treatment plans
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
• Submit digital insurance claims
• Ensure sterilization and sanitation of dental equipment and instruments
• Stay current with dental technology, trends, and industry best practices

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher in Dental Hygiene from an accredited institution
• Active provincial dental hygienist license
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Previous experience as a dental hygienist preferred, but new grads are welcome to apply
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
• Compassionate, patient-focused attitude

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $36.84-$45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 24 per week
