Location of Work: Toronto, Ontario, M5V 3V6

Type of Position: Permanent, full time

Job Duties:

1. Tend to the emotional well-being of our children
2. Supervise and care for our children
3. Prepare and serve nutritious meals
4. Organize activities such as games and outings for our children
5. Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development
6. Take our children to and from school and to appointments when necessary
7. Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
8. Discipline our children according to the methods requested by us, the parents
9. Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children
10. Help children with homework
11. Assume full responsibility of household in absence of parents
12. Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
13. Travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision

Skills Required:

1. Completion of High School or Equivalent
2. 1 year of work experience as a Caregiver for children or equivalent experience in a similar role
3. A 6 months in-class caregiver training course is considered an asset
4. Reliability, Flexibility, Judgement, Organized, Initiative, Client Focus

Wage and Hours per week: $19.00 – $20.00 per hour (To be negotiated), 40 hours per week plus overtime, when necessary, two days off per week
