NOC Job Code/Title: 44100 - Home Child Care Provider

Terms of Employment: This job is for a full-time position (40 hours per week). Flexible/Split shift work schedule is required. Weekend work may be required. French or English. Job start date is April 1, 2022.

Salary: Wage offered is between $15.75 and $17 per hour. Future wage adjustments will be made when the provincial minimum wage rate changes.

Location: Mrs. Jes… lives in the city of Westmount, Montreal, Quebec. The home is situated in a residential neighbourhood; schools and parks are nearby. The city bus is easily accessible (bus #24). The major intersection is Wood + Sherbrooke St.

Duties may include:

1. Help with the care of a 3-year-old and a 5-year-old.
2. Supervise children when parents are not at home and take the child to and from appointments.
3. Organize and participate in activities such as games, crafts, reading, and outings to provide amusement and exercise.
4. Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents.
5. Bathe and dress children as needed.
6. General housework, including laundry and some ironing.
7. Dusting rooms to ensure a clean environment.

Qualifications:

1. Must have completed at minimum Canadian equivalent of secondary school education.
2. Must have at least one year of work-related experience as a caregiver.
3. Must be dependable, hardworking, independent, and able to manage the job without supervision.
4. Experience with young babies is an asset.
