The Office of Corporate Planning & Strategic Projects provides support and guidance to City teams and employees. Key responsibilities include project management support, grant administration, modern workplace coordination, annual reporting, and policy development.
The IMPACT Associate will report to the Assistant Director, Office of Corporate Planning & Strategic Projects. This role supports key initiatives that help City departments meet their service goals and comply with regulations. The IMPACT Associate will be responsible for:

POSITION FUNCTION
As an IMPACT Initiative Associate hired under the City of Victoria’s Inclusive Municipal Program for Advancing Careers and Training, you will be given meaningful and challenging assignments while being introduced to a career in municipal government. In this Associate position, you will assist with projects within a specific City department, contribute to the overall goals of the work unit, have job shadowing opportunities, and participate in educational experiences.

QUALIFICATIONS

Formal Education, Training and Occupational Certification: Have language proficiency in English (equivalent to Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) Level 6).
Experience: IMPACT Initiative Associates require at least 6 months of fundamental knowledge and practical experience related to tasks and responsibilities similar to those outlined in the position or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
