Join our Cybersecurity team and work in collaboration with the different teams within the IT Department. The Cybersecurity team creates training for City staff and advises on security best practices. The team also researches and recommends new security technologies to improve the City's cybersecurity.
The IMPACT Associate will report to the Manager, Cybersecurity, and will be responsible for:
We are looking for candidates with a background in IT or cybersecurity, who have strong analytical skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to identify and address security risks efficiently. The ideal candidate for this role will be detail-oriented, a team player, and excited to help improve the City’s cybersecurity.
The successful applicant may be required to provide criminal record clearance as a condition of employment.

As an IMPACT Initiative Associate hired under the City of Victoria’s Inclusive Municipal Program for Advancing Careers and Training, you will be given meaningful and challenging assignments while being introduced to a career in municipal government.
