ILSON General Contractors Ltd. is seeking F/T Carpenters

Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent

Wage: $35.00 – $38.00/hour (depending on experience)

Number of Positions: 2

Benefits: 10 days paid vacation per year

Job Duties:

1. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements
2. Measure, cut, assemble, shape, and join materials made of wood, lightweight steel, and others
3. Maintain, repair, and renovate homes and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial facilities, and other locations
4. Install and fit components such as doors, stairs, moldings, and hardware
5. Lay subflooring, construct walls and roofing systems, and build foundations
6. Guide apprentices and oversee other construction workers
7. Perform various trade tasks during home construction or renovation projects
8. Coordinate implementations of repairs, maintenance and renovation
9. Suggest or organize additional work services needed, including painting, repair work, renovations, or replacement of furnishings and equipment

Job Requirements:

1. Experience: 2-3 years of experience in carpentry is required
2. Education: Completion of secondary school is required
