Job Title: Ice Cream Canada Sr Finance Analyst

Location: Toronto, Canada

Background & Purpose of the Job

In this role, you will drive valuable analytics and influence decision-making within the cross-functional team to achieve our business goals. As part of Unilever Canada's Finance team, you will report to the Finance Manager.

What You Will Do

Financial Analytics to Accelerate Growth and Profitability

  • Drive insightful, fact-based decision-making through objective analysis and knowledge of our consumers and customers within our broad cross-functional team.
  • Provide an unbiased view of business risks and opportunities and evaluate trade-offs considering both short and long-term business targets.
  • Lead development of robust innovation business cases to accelerate profitability growth through evaluating alternatives, important assumptions, and ensure plans are re-aligned with relevant strategies.
  • Business partner with cross-functional teams, make recommendations, and influence senior partners.
  • Review performance vs plans and understand variances to ensure appropriate actionable steps to further accelerate results or address issues.

Other / Ad-Hoc
  • Undertake special and ad-hoc projects to improve portfolio assortment, pricing and promotional strategies or profitability.
  • Lead financial assessment and/or integration of our brand acquisitions as well as evaluation of brand exits.
  • Implement continuous improvement principles and simplification initiatives to improve financial/business processes while ensuring the integrity of financial data.

What You Need To Succeed:

Experiences & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field; MBA or professional accounting qualification (CPA, CMA) preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a finance role, with a focus on business partnering, preferably in a marketing or customer development environment.
  • Strong analytical and financial modelling skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to influence and build strong relationships with non-financial stakeholders.

Pay: The pay range for this position is $58,200 to $87,200. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.

Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.

Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible.
