IBM i Senior Programmer Analyst

Visionpool Business Services is hiring a Hybrid Web Application Developer.

Major Responsibilities

1. Development of technical solutions, including the design, development, testing, and deployment of code.
2. Analyzing and interpreting business requirements to create efficient and effective technical solutions.
3. Analyzing and developing new code.
4. Verifying code with integration and unit tests.
5. Identifying logic errors, implementing bug fixes, and supporting user testing.
6. Building and executing automation tests.
7. Providing third-level application support.
8. Consulting with business areas, technical support, team members, technical sources, and end-users.
9. Ensuring high quality of development and solutions prior to product release.
10. Assisting with product releases.
11. Performing code reviews and providing constructive feedback to peers.
12. Contributing to manual quality assurance testing as needed.
13. Producing working code with less supervision on relatively routine development tasks.
14. Demonstrating good instincts in solving technical problems.
15. Staying passionate about learning new technologies and adopting best practices of software development.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum 5 years of experience in the field with exposure to the following for some or all that time:

Building web applications using the noted technologies:

1. Building applications that integrate with AWS services.
2. Unit testing in Angular and Java.
3. Monitoring error logs and addressing repeatable bugs.
4. HTML5
5. CSS / SCSS
6. TypeScript
7. Angular 12+
8. Java
9. Spring Boot and Hibernate

Nice to have:

1. Experience with Financial accounting will be an asset.
2. Experience with new versions of Angular (Version 12+).
3. Experience with authentication and authorization (Web, API).
4. Experience with version control using GIT.
5. Experience writing web services and APIs.
6. Experience using AWS services (SQS, SNS, CloudFormation, S3).
