Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years

Work setting: Waste disposal and refuse systems

Tasks:

1. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
2. Receive and relay information to central dispatch
3. Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
4. Dig ditches and trenches
5. Use specialized equipment to determine the location of buried pipelines and other utilities in preparation for seismic exploration and drilling activities
6. Implement records scheduling and disposal plans
7. Dig ground to expose gas lines

Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses:

1. Class 1 / 1F / A Licence (semi trailer trucks)
2. Air Brake (Z) Endorsement

Documentation knowledge:

1. Accident or incident reports
2. Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip)
3. Maintenance and repair reports

Type of trucking and equipment:

1. Hydrovac
2. Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment

Transportation / travel experience:

1. Local
2. Waste and tailings disposal

Security and safety:

1. Driving record check (abstract)
2. Drug test

1. Valid driver's licence
