Job description

The Hydro Blast technician will perform a wide range of physical activities that require strength and flexibility of the whole body for handling, positioning, moving and manipulating equipment and materials, emergency response, vacuum truck operations, waste disposal, site remediation and high-pressure water blasting.

Responsibilities:

  1. Operate and set-up all necessary cleaning equipment such as high-pressure pumps, in service line hydro-blasting, and vacuum, in accordance with operational training guidelines and safety procedures.
  2. Adhere to all safety policies and practices, including but not limited to personal protective gear.
  3. Ability to work safely in and around heavy machinery in loud, hazardous, and heavy industrial settings.
  4. Manually clean, install, fit, repair valves, caps, hoses, pumps, gaskets, and all other external and internal equipment on tanks.
  5. Assist in the inspection of equipment, hoses, connections, pumps, and general work area prior to starting any job. Inform supervisor of deficiencies that may cause accidents, injuries, or lost productivity.

Qualifications:

  1. High School diploma or equivalent.
  2. Understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
  3. Basic Safety Training Skills.
  4. Hydro blasting or pressure cleaning experience preferred, but not required.
  5. General labor experience is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  1. Physically capable of performing all duties and responsibilities assigned.
  2. Able to lift at least 50 pounds.
  3. Physically capable to stand and/or walk continuously for long periods of time if necessary.
  4. Physically capable to climb, balance, bend/stoop, and kneel continuously.
